Introduction

Hi I'm Shelby and I am a SAHM to two great kids. My DD is 9 and my DS is 20 months.

I have PCOS and had a very hard time getting pregnant with my DS. It took me 7 years of complaining and seeing different doctors who say "well....your fat so I can't help you. " Then, when I see my regular ob-gyn and he says take this pill and we will see what happens...

7 years later...

I get a UTI....yuck! So I find a PCP. She says when was your last period. I laugh!! I haven't had a period in probably a year! She says "Oh no! We have to fix that!" So she writes up a blood work slip, checking me for PCOS. FINALLY, I have an answer! Woohoo!! They put me on metformin to regulate my insulin level. Okay I can handle that...a month later I'm pregnant!! With the help of clomid and metformin I have my handsome little boy.

My son and my daughter, without my family I think the depression would have sucked me in completely. I felt alone and broken. Fat....I still hate the way I look. Somedays are better than others. Maybe someday I will believe my Husband when he tells me I'm beautiful.
